    The following poem was composed about the late Michael Considine,Ennis by Martin Kennelly Belvoir,Sixmilebridge .
    "Gallant men of Ennis ,for the noble work prepare ,
    Gallant Fife and brass bands from every part of Clare.
    Play the Wearing of the Green, and play Auld Lang Syne.
    For they're going to build a monument to Micky Considine.

    Ennis men remember the deeds of this true man,
    He built a noble monument to the memory of poor Dan.
    he built the maid of Eireann,to Alan, Larkin and O' Brien ,
    Let the banner wave oer an honoured Grave ,
    To poor Micky Considine.
