  1. Saint Ciarans well is situated in north meath within a few miles of the Cavan border and it is noted from ancient times for diseases cured at it through bathing in its waters. The first sunday of August is its pattern day and hundreds of people from miles around flock to it on that day.
    Some arrive at mid-night and remain till after the rosary and benediction next day. It is claimed that two small fish appear in the well. The cures claimed are, toothache headache pains in bones and other minor diseases.
