    source of property, and it is said it was called after Jamestown. There were seven more houses in Jamestown long ago.
    The people emigrated to England and America. The townland is not mentioned in any song or saying. Most of the land is good. There are a few hills in the townland. There is no wood growing in it.
    There is a beautiful stream rising at the back of Jamestown, and flows through Cloghan, and enters the Suck about a mile beyond Cloghan.
