The birds most common to my district are robins, jackdaws, magpies, starlings, crows, blackbirds, pidgeons, thrushes, wrens, will-wag-tails, curlews, tomtits, wild ducks, water hens, cranes, grey plovers, golden - plovers, ball coots, sparrows. The wildgeese, swallows, corncrakes and the cuckoo migrate.
    The robin builds her nest on a shady bank with leaves around it. The jackdaw builds her nest in a chimney. The magpie builds her nest in an ivy kind of tree or bush. The starlings build their nests in a high tree.
    The crow builds her nest in a chimney or in a high tree. The blackbird builds her nest in a hedge. The pidgeon builds her nest in an ivy tree. The thrush builds her nest in a small bush.
