  1. Long ago there was a convent and a church in Tisrara. They were ruined by Cromwell. There is a graveyard there now. There was another church in Taughboy also ruined by Cromwell. Some of the ruins are still to be seen. There is a rock outside the graveyard where the priest used to say mass, in the olden times.
    There was a mass rock in our district long ago where the priest used to say mass. There is also an old sandpit, where the priest used to hide. I do not know any story about priest hunters, or soldiers in pursuit of priests.
