    In former times people did not wear boots until they were grown up. The children at present to not wear boots in the Summer. There are seven or eight cobblers in our district. It has been a tradition in some f their families for hundreds of years. There are not as many cobblers now, as in former times, owing to the fact that boots are made in factories and not by hand.
    Clogs were worn by the people long a go. They are still worn by the poor people. They are made by hand.
