    "Travelling People" still call to my house. The same people have been doing so for many years. Those who travel on foot are poor and they sell small articles. Others come to get alms.
    They get their supplies of goods in shops. Some of the "travellers" are generally welcome. They are not allowed remain longer than a night at a time. The poorer ones sleep in hay barns and in tents. The richer ones sleep in vans.
    The alms they accept are potatoes, hay, sugar, tea, bread and milk. Those who go on foot travel singly. Those who have vans travel in bands.
    They generally call about the fair day. They tell stories and bring news from other parts of the country.
