  1. There are three forts in our district. They are called forts. There is one in Anadrumman and one in Analitten and one in Carragartha. They are all in view of one another. They are all circular in shape. There is an earthmound and bushes round them. There is a hollow in the middle. The Danes are supposed to have built them to defend themselves against their enemies. The Fairy Folk are supposed to live in them at present. The owners of these forts never interfere with them in any way, for fear of annoying the fairies. It is said that the Fairies dance and play music around these forts at night. A man called Isaiah Marshall was sent, against his will, to trim bushes off the outside of Analitten fort, to make a place for the horses to turn when ploughing the field, in which the fort was. The next morning when he got up he was completely bald and no account would he go back to work at the fort. His hair never grew again.
