  2. Long ago the people used to spend their time making ornaments. The girls used to make necklaces with flowers. They used to get different coloured flowers and string them together. They used to also string flowers to decorate the place.
Some years ago boys spend their spare time making toys tops and guns and other toys. They used to get a reel of thread and roll it about a nail to make a top. Making a guns they used to get a round piece of timber and flat on both ends and a sprig a piece of rubber at the end. Have a hole through the piece of timber, the rubber must be big enough to go from one end to the other. Then put a piece of a stone in the hole and then put a piece in after the stone and pull the rubber and let it go off. It would hit the stick and fire off the stone.
