    Then men long ago used to be very strong and big and great racers and runners and jumpers. They used to run horses for seven miles a half an hour and they could catch hares and rabbits by running after them. It is said that the man lived in Ileigh. His name was Pat Ryan.

    Long ago the old men and women were great to walk. They could walk on foot for five miles. Because they had no motorcars or bicycles the people lived in Ileigh. His name was Patrick Ryan.
