   (c) M. Hogan (Shelter) : This man was a hedge-school master. He showed great taste in having his garden neat and trim. Around it he planted trees to provide shelter to his home and school.
   (d) Seán Hogan (Seán a' Mhuc): Seán was accustomed to feed large flocks of pigs. He was noted for his great unkindness to his neighbours or even to his dearest friend.
   A neighbour who had obliged Seán sent his son the the pig man for the loan of a kish. Hogan was unwilling to lend yet he did not wish to give direct refusal. He took the kish from the car reminding the young man that not a soul alive ever got that kish on loan or ever would again.
   The two men carried it through the near by church yard and hoisted it over the wall. Hogan paused and said "Do you know what I intend doing?"
   "No, what is it."
   "Well I intend making a collection next Sunday at the chapel door to make up the price of a kish for your father".
   "Ah! since you make such a compliment of giving it you may keep it."
   "That's just what I wanted, but you can't say but I let you take it part of the way. I would let no other
