There lived in this district well over a hundred yers ago a Terry named Darby Hogan.

There lived in this district well over a hundred years ago a Terry named Darby Hogan. He was selected from among many others to raid for arms on an appointed night.
He succeeded in capturing the arms, but next day the police were on his trail. They came to his home, Darby was away in a near by forge where he intended concealing the arms. The police came along and were just passing the forge when one of their number peering through the door-way saw the man they were seeking.
Immediately the police surrounded the house to prevent anyone escaping. While the police were busy outside taking up positions Darby was twice as busy inside hiding the fire-arms. Some few police then rushed in, surrounded their man and searched him thoroughly. They found nothing on him but his clothes. Then every corner of the forge was searched; no place was forgotten, and all movables were pulled from their places, yet there was no trace of the arms. The police then left badly disappointed.
