The houses had few windows and often had no window at all. The windows were usually very small. A man named John White Browne built a house in Glenfield and it was afterwards occupied by Mr Sharp. There were so many windows in it that all the people used visit the house to look at them. They used say that, "John White Browne spoiled his house with windows. The windows were about five feet wide and had very small panes of glass. John White Browne lived afterwards near Dromina where Denis OLeary is living now. He had six sons and two daughters. There was one of his sons called "the Russian" because of his strength. The people used to say, "SImon James and John, Tim, David and Dan, Margaret Maria and the old man.
