  2. 1. A cure for a boil is to get a frog and boil it down in water, and when it is dead to take up the water and let it get cold, and then to wash the boil with the water, and he will never again get a boil.
    2. Cure for a sore finger, get a dog to give it a lick.
    3. To take out a thorn, get a foxes' tongue and rub it of the finger
    4. Cure for a toothache, is to put a bit of soap down in your tooth, but not to swallow any spit.
    5. Another cure for a toothache is to put the leg of a frog down in your tooth, but it is no harm to swallow the spit as it only gives a person good breath.
