  1. 1. Long ago they had no tea or bread, and when they would get up in the morning it is potatoes they would have for their breakfast.
    2. They used to have oat meal porridge and a sup of milk.
    3. They used to have oatmeal cakes, because they had no flour.
    4. When they used to be out working in the fields, it is potatoes they used to get. They used to bring a few potatoes in their pockets and they used to eat them at dinner time.
    5. They would not have tea and cakes until Christmas.
