    the feet. Shoemakers are very scarce in the district. There were a few shoemakers in the district but they are dead. The nearest shoemaker to us is about five miles away from us.
    Clogs were worn in olden times and they are worn yet. Some of the people had skins of hares around their feet long ago and some of the people up to the present day have skins of hares around their feet in winter. The shoemaker learned his trade from his father. When shoes are broken they are brought to the cobbler to be repaired.
