- Some people come to the houses of this district and stay there for the night sometimes, and they also sell small articles such as pins They used to come into the farmers' and ask him could he sleep in the hay shed for the night, the farmer would tell him that he could stay there for the night and then he would go away in the morning and sell small articles again for the day and do the same thing for the week and he would go away then to another house for the week again, There used a crowd of tinkers come to William Delaney to ask him could they stay for the night and they would stay there for the night in the hay-shed and go away in the morning. These travelling people are not really tinkers they get their food free from the people and then they give some small articles to the people for giving them food.
