A man named Ned Bourke Killamoyne, Borrisoleigh that he was a great mower that mowed seven acres of hay in two days. And he is counted to be a great mower ever since. And another man named Patsy Quinn of Coumbeg Borrisoleigh mowed ten acres of hay in three days.

60 yrs. - This is a local hero his name is Michael Small Gurtnacranna Borrisoleigh County Tipperary. He was shot by the Black and Tans on the 4th of July in the year 1918. Michael Small and other men were going to burn the barrack in Sheverie and they saw soldiers coming towards them and some of them ran away and others of them hid behind the ditch(continues on next page)
