- Card-playing was a custom in almost every house in Ireland in days gone by and it is kept up in many houses to the present day.
One night a crowd of men were assembled together in a certain neighbour's house card-playing. They were playing away peacefully for some time until at last an argument arose between two men as both of them accused each other of cheating.
