- The name of my townland is Corbyfinn in the parish of Aghabod in the barony of Dartree. Woodwright was the landlord's name. Corbyfinn got its name from the hill of the white cow.
There are many glens and valleys running through this townland. Rivers and streams run north. There are only three families and seven people in number in my townland. McCabe is the most common name. There are two thatched houses and one slated.
There were ten families long ago in this townland but they are dead and gone away to other countries. They went to try to make a living which they were unable to do at home. The houses are built of stone and mud.
