- In 1870 there lived two old men in Liscomiskey. They dreamed three nights after other that there was a hidden treasure of gold in the ault (hollow) between John Kilcrans' and John Murphys' of the smae townland.
One of these men determined to dig for it so night after night he dug about the place where he thought it was. At length he thought he was near it so he asked the neighbour man to help him. One of them was my grandfather. They went and helped him and it was not long until they reached a stone. They were certaint hey had the treasure but no sooner had they touched the stone their chains began to rattle and a fierce wind arose. the three men ran for their(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
