- There was a man and a woman living inThreemilehouse and the man wanted work and one morning he went out to look for it. He got work with a man for seven years and at the end of the seven years the man that he was working with, asked him would he take his wages or his advice. The man said he would take his advice.
"Well" he said "never go a near cut when you could go a round." The man worked on for seven more years and at the end of the seven years the man gave him a loaf of bread and told him not to take any off it until his wife cut it first. When he was coming home another man overtook him and told him to go the near cut and the man said he would not. He went the round(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
