    I was comin' home wan night from a wake.

    stopped all of a sudden and the next place I heard it was about 20 or 40 yards ahead o’ me, and the same rumblin’ noise to be heard. I got a kind of fright then an’ I blessed meself, for I had come to my own conclusion. It was the dead coach that was in it.

    I was comin' home another night at about two oclock in the mornin'...

    I was comin' home another night about two oclock in the mornin' i was comin' from a dance I was this time though, I was goin through a very lonesome part of a deep valley, when I heard the sound of a huntsman's horn close at hand. It wasn't long until I heard a whole pack of hounds an' they in full cry and a whole crowd of horses after them. I didn't see them but I'm damn sure I heard them all, and that's as true as the
