    Until you will hear the heroic deeds of
    those sons of Erin's Isle.
    Twelve patriots we represent who nobly
    fought to right our country's wrong
    We've an exile Saint a soldier priest
    Valiant kings and warriors bold
    and strong.
    The first he is St Colmcille who
    once provoked the state
    Left Erin's shore, ne'er saw it more
    for why he will relate.
    And Brian Boru our valiant king
    who crushed the haughty Danes
    is here to tell how long and well o'er
    Erin he did reign.
    Art Mac Morough is the next of
    Leinster sceptre sway
    Who fought King Richard and his men
    whose laws he ne'er obeyed.
