   There are a great many of the Local Place names in this vicinity.They are usually called by by different names.We have a field at home and it is by the name of Poll buidhe because the clay is yellow in it.Also I know another place by the name of páirc na n-úan why it was called that ,because the lambs were always found growing in it. Another place I know that is called by the name of Knockbeha which means the hill of the Birch.Another place I know is páirc geata it is the gate field.Also coill beag why it was called that because it was a young wood.
