  1. A ring of players is formed . One player goes around the ring and drops a handkerchief behind someone in the ring. If the person behind whom the handkerchief is dropped doesn't know that the handkerchief is there she is called an " ass" by the other players. If, however, she knows that the handkerchief is dropped behind her she runs after the person who drops it, and the later tries to get back to the chaser's place without being caught. The chaser then drops the handkerchief behind some other person and so on.
