  2. There is a tree growing in a fort in Finane and it is said that no one is to interfere with it. One day Jack O'Connor (R.I.P.) of Killaghy St. went up on the tree to cut it. He had the saw in the tree when he was flung from it on to the ditch. Nobody has attempted to fell the tree since then.
