    to sleep he saw three bright balls hopping on the floor. The next evening he went to the well and did a round. That night after he had been in bed about 20 minutes he saw two other balls hopping on the floor and the next day he went to the well, and did two more rounds, and he never saw any lights afterwards while he lived. So this meant that his wife couldn't enter heaven unless the 3 visits to the well were fulfilled.

  2. "All Souls' Night" falls on the 1st of November every year. On that night a few candles are lit, and put on the sill of a window for the repose of the poor souls in Purgatory. It is said why the candles are lit, is because it guides the poor souls to Heaven.
