Local Cures (Contd)

If your leg is burned shake flour on the leg and it will never blister. (Patrick Blackwell)
If you get a burn of a nettle pluck a dog-leaf and wrap the dog leaf around it for a while (Joe Ryan)

Put a grain of lime into your tooth and it will kill the nerve

Put cold water into your mouth and keep it in until it gets hot then put a grain of lime into it.
Mix salt and water together and take a sup of it and leave it in your mouth for a while and then spit it out.

Cure for Boils
When you get a boil get a piece of wax and warm it to the fire and stick it to the boil (Michael Keating)

A cure for boils, is to get snails and bruise them together and then put the snails to the boils and it will cure them
