- It is said that people who would get up early on Easter Sunday morning, to see the sun dancing, would have a very happy Easter. It is also said that people who would eat twelve eggs on Easter Sunday would never be married. If the dancing sun shines on crops they will grow well.
- At Glenstal, Murroe, Co. Limerick, on Easter Morning every year the Priests give out eggs of different colours to the people.
The eggs that are laid on Good Friday are kept by the people.
