  1. The places which I am going to describe are in the district of Glasna in the townland of Ballylehane. This townland is in the parish of Arles, in the barony of Slieve Margy which is in the County of Leix.
    The - Voteen.
    It is a three cornered field and it is very level.
    The Mágh Ruadh.
    It is a square field. It is very level and it's soil is very red.
    The Upper Joiner's
    This is the name of a field. A family of thatchers lived in a little house there and they were known as joiner's also.
    The Kiln field
    There is a kiln in this field.
    The Paddock.
    It is called by this name because horses are always grazing in it.
