    There are no Holy Wells in the townland of Slatt. The Holy Well that is nearest to Slatt is in Kilgorey in the parish of Doonane which is in the barony of Slieve Margy in the County of Leix. There is an Altar and Shrine of Our Blessed Lady at the well. On her feast - days during the year great numbers of people bring invalids from all parts to visit the well and the shrine
