  1. Cuts
    There is a man in Kilcriuse who is able to stop bleeding. His name is Joe Brennan. If a person is bleeding from the head this man is able to stop the bleeding by saying a special prayer. He has done this for several people. There was also another woman in Slatt who could cure toothache. She also cured it by saying a certain prayer. Then she used to tell the person who would have the toothache to give away half a stone of potatoes and the pain would go. Her name was Mrs Brennan and she was called 'the holy womam'. She is dead about forty years.
    Ringworm
    Ringworm can be cured with a wedding ring. The ring should touch the ringworm three times. Other
