  1. I live in the townland of Slatt and it is in the parish of Ballyadams. Ballyadams is in the barony of Slieve Margy. There are about twenty five families in my district. Slatt got its name from sally rods because sally rods grew in many places.
    "Flemings" and "O'Keeffes" are the most numerous families in my district. There are more slated houses than thatched houses in the district. There are several old ruins
