- In the townland of Meenadreen there once lived a man his wife and child. This man’s name was Paddy Judge. He was a very selfish man and tried to succeed with any job he started. Now there were skeig bushes on this man’s farm and in the bushes there were supposed to be fairies. This man’s wife always told Paddy not to cut down the skeig bushes but being rather stubborn he tried to cut them down and immediately he did so the baby(continues on next page)
