  1. On the top of a conical hill overlooking Lough Eske in the townland of Ardevin is “The Fort”.
    There seems to have been a circular buttress of stones about six feet high, the inside of the ring being level. The diameter of the ring is about 15 yards. It is greatly over-grown with blackthorn, and massive stones are strewn about on the hillside.
    On the western side of the hill there would appear to be a large cap-stone sliding off its supports, but it is so massive that you could not imagine human strength moving it into such a position as to form a dolmen.
