- Fionn Mac Cumhail was out hunting one day with his hounds on Meenan-bunt Hill. The hound raised a hare and it ran under a big rock. Fionn lifted the rock and threw it up on the tip-top of the hill, out of the way of the hound. It stood on end and is there to be seen to this day. It is known as the “Standing Rock”.
