  1. Thomas Cusack a well known footballer in the county of Wexford was killed in Barret's park New Ross. He was kicking football and while racing for the ball ran into another player named Father Cloney a priest from the county Wexford. This was very sad because he was going to America some days after the match. My father was kicking football on that Sunday with the team that this player belonged to. He was removed to hospital but only lived two hours after. This accident occurred in the year of 1913. He was buried in St Stephen's cemetery New Ross and a Celtic cross stands over his grave.
