Mrs Kearns of Tinakilly was in Waterford about fifty years ago. There was a fair in Waterford the same day. Herself and another woman were walking around the fair, when they heard two people talking Irish close by. Mrs. Kearns never heard Irish before, so she asked the other woman to stop and listen.
