  1. The cattle drive took place in the year nineteen hundred and eight, on the month of September. The cattle were driven because the people wanted the land divided. The cattle were driven off Mc'Namara's land situated in Doolin, some were driven to Ballyvaughan more to Miltown and more to Inagh. After the drive a number of men were arrested and on the day they were brought before the court in Ennistymon. there was a serious fight between the R. I. C. and the peope a number of men on both sides were indured, the men that were arrested got a month in jail. The drive did not do any good. because the Ranchers were back again. Extra polive were sent to Doolin.
