Every morning when daylight would come the cattle would be turned out to the street. In the middle of the day the bed clothes would be put out through the window. This went on time after time and many people came from all parts to see it. Some of the people would go into the house and when they would be going in, the pot lids would go out by and in again.
In the garden there were two pecks (stacks) of hay, and the girl said they were going to be burned, and she left. They burned away and did not touch anything else and them beside the house. So that went on and the house was along the county (main) road and people would be running by it before dark.
