    When two people of the same surname get married they have the cure of whooping cough.
    People who want the cure go to their house and ask for a bit of bread without paying for it. This is supposed to cure the people.
    It was believed that any child that was born who never saw its father has the cure of thrush. The person who has the cure breathes and says some prayers over the one who has the dirty mouth. This is said to have saved some people's lives when doctors failed.
