    in and start picking at it.
    The ingredients that were used were flour, oatmeal, salt, potatoes, soda and water, and sometimes milk. The people used to bake enough of bread at once that would last for three or four days.
    The marks that was put on top of the cake was the shape of a cross. They were only two parts of the year that fancy cakes were made, and that was Christmas and Easter.
