  1. There is an old castle in Dumacreena, Irishtown, Co Mayo. not very far from my house. It is about five hundred years old and the Blakes lived there long ago. There was a man murdered in one of the rooms and afterwards the window was sealed up and it was never known until it fell into ruins and then the skeleton was found. I do not know who built the castle. It is derelict over a hundred and fifty years
    It is in the parish of Ballindine. There was a tonnel in a pond that was out in the yard.
    There is a ruined church in Kilvine graveyard
