  1. The is the Dunmacreena castle in ruins in the school district. Blakes that built it. It is about a hundred and fifty years old. It is in the village of Dunmacreena, Irishtown, Co. Mayo.
    It is said that a man went in there once and that he never came out again and it was rumoured that he was killed. There is a ruined church also in the district It was not plundered or burned.
    It does not contain any carving on the doorway I have not heard any story of a church or other building
