  1. On St. Stephen's Day the boy's gather up and they go into every house and say "The wren the wren the king of all birds. St. Stephen's Day was got in the furze up with the kettle and down with the pan give us a penny to bury the wren" and they would get a penny in every house.
    When the boy's would come home they would give half and half to each other and they would buy cigarettes for the money.
    On St. Brigids Day the people make little crosses with different colours and hang them up in the wall
