- 6. A man by the name of John Long in the townland of Killahagan, parish of Drom, Co. Tipperary was a poet. He was seventy years of age when he dided. he is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery which is in Thurles. He wrote a song by the name of "Rorardstown Goat." This poet was a farmer. He was about twenty-nine or thirty years of age when he composed this song. The people praised him greatly for doing so. They also attributed great powers to this poet.
