    to the forge of Cuilinn every morning for coals for the fire and one morning the smith said to her "What beautiful feet you have" and she used to bring the coals in her apron and with pride she looked down at her feet, and the coals burned down through her apron and she cursed the smith and the forge and she said that a smith would never again light a fire in Cuilinn and a smith never lit a fire there since.
    St Brendan built a Church where Clonfert grave-yard is now. There are people buried inside the ruins of the Church. There is a well also in the eastern side of the grave-yard called after St Brendan up to recently people used to pay rounds to St Brendan's well.
    He is the patron saint of Co Kerry and of Clonfert in Co Galway.
