    Once upon a time there lived a man and woman named Dan and Kitty Hynes. They lived at Coolcullen. They were very poor.

    "All right bring her here" said the priest. He also said that anything you give to God or to the church you get double it back. Next morning Dan brought the cow to the priest. A few days later the cow broke out of the field where the priest had her, and came back to Dan and Kitty. A few minutes later a fat little bullock came into the yard. Dan said to Kitty. "Didn't I tell you the priest couldn't tell a lie," and Kitty said. "You are a great man for thinking, come in and we'll put down the kettle and make the tae and if I don't be happy that you may"
