    One night a man was cardplaying in a neighbouring house. He was not long playing when he saw some thing strange under the table which he thought was the devil.

    One night a man was cardplaying in a neighbouring house. He was not long playing when he saw some thing strange under the table which he thought was the devil. After a few minutes he went home. As he was going home he had to pass a monument bush and as he was passing it a great large bird flew out of it and started following him shrieking loudly. He had just reached the road when the bird flew before him and she vanished. When he was half way over the lane which led to his house the headless coach came up behind. He had just time to get in to the field by the lane side when it passed. He was not able to go home and he had to stop in a neighbour's house that night. So there were no
